Classic Kenya safari on a 9 day Mombasa to Nairobi tour visiting Tsavo East, Tsavo West, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lakes Nakuru & Masai Mara.
Safari Tour departs from the Kenya coast beach resorts and visits exciting category A Kenya national parks and game reserves on a progressive safari with finish at Nairobi
During the safari ,we shall visit the red soil plains of Tsavo East, the scenic hilly terrain of the Tsavo west with the Mzima springs and Amboseli national park at the floor of Mount Kilimanjaro.
There shall stop at Lake Naivasha, where we take a boat ride to view hippos, exotic birds and small game.
This shall be followed by a guided walking safari at the Crescent Island.
Near the Lake Naivasha,we shall cycle and Hike as we explore the Hell’s gate national park
Tour proceeds to Lake Nakuru national park with its famous bird population and Rhino sanctuary.
Safari shall then procced to the tree studded plains of the great Masai Mara game reserve for more game viewing drives in search of the big 5

Tour is offered with a choice of economy, standard or luxury safari lodges or tented camps accommodation depending on your budget / style.
Tour transport is in private pop up top 4 x 4 Land cruiser jeep for more comfort, easy navigation and elevated viewing.

Driving times during safari are estimate and may vary due to narrow roads,traffic density or state of specific road sections
You can include local flights to cut on driving time if preferred at an extra price
Safari is private per booking in own tour vehicle and dedicated driver / guide-not a group sharing tour
If you choose to stay at The Pelican Lodge, Sarova Woodlands or Sentrim Elementaita- there shall be no re-entry at Lake Nakuru National Park on the following day.
Safari services are uniform regardless of accommodation level choice

9 Days Kenya Classic Safari
Day 1: Kenya Coast – Tsavo East: (120km – Approx. 3 hrs)
Lunch,Dinner
Early pick up from your Holiday beach resort (pick up time depends with location of your beach resort)
Proceed to the Tsavo East national park.
The safari drive is via the famous “explorers” route – Mombasa – Nairobi highway.
The 120km – 3hrs dawn drive is to the southern entry point of the Tsavo East where we stop briefly for refreshments ( optional).
We commence game viewing drives on entry at the Tsavo East National park.
You shall be on the look-out for elephant, giraffe, lion, cheetah, buffalo and many more…….
An afternoon game viewing drive is scheduled later in the day.
The relaxed game viewing drive takes us on the trails of the big five with magnificent views of the African sunset
Overnight shall be at your Tsavo safari lodge/ tented camp.
Day 2:Tsavo East – Tsavo West
Meal plan:Breakfast,lunch,dinner
We shall be ready before sunrise in our anticipation of the morning game drive!
All ingredients for a wonderful day are in place.
…the splendor of an African sunrise dominates the natural world as we traverse the vast park in search of the early grazers and predators.
A final game viewing drive at the Tsavo east shall follow as we leave the park.
We shall proceed to the Tsavo West where we continue on game viewing drives.
This afternoon we visit the Rhino Sanctuary where the endangered species are protected.
Overnight at your Tsavo west safari lodge/ tented camp.
Day 3: Tsavo West – Amboseli (100kms: Approx. 2 hrs)
Meal plan:Breakfast,lunch,dinner
“The early bird catches the worm!”
..we embark on an early morning game and scenery viewing drive.
Sunrise catches us as we explore the Tsavo West national park.
The natural world unfolds amid the freshness and beauty of the morning.
We drink in the scenic beauty of this awesome park .
We head to Mzima Springs to view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and a variety of bird species.
The greenery surrounding the underground springs is a welcome contrast to the dry terrain that form Tsavo West national park.
Later proceed to Amboseli national park to arrive during late morning
Relax until late afternoon when we set out to explore the Amboseli national park in a game viewing drive.
This is a leisurely game viewing drive with animals easily seen and with the bulk of mount. Kilimanjaro providing an awesome back-drop for wildlife photography.
Clouds may open up and the sight of snow peaked mount Kilimanjaro shall mesmerize.
Overnight at Amboseli safari lodge / tented camp.
Day 4: Amboseli National Park
Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
This shall be a day of Game viewing drives, scenery viewing, relaxation.
Day shall be spent at the Amboseli with maximum game viewing drives spotting game and wallowing in the scenery.
There shall be an early morning, followed by a mid- morning and a later afternoon game viewing drive
Between the wildlife viewing sessions, your Amboseli lodge / camp provides relaxation, meals and other activities
Your safari vehicle and driver / guide are at your disposal for unlimited game viewing drives.
Overnight at Amboseli safari lodge / tented camp.
Day 5:Amboseli- Lake Naivasha – (340 km: Approx. 6 hrs)
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Early morning game and scenery viewing drive as you exit the Amboseli national park.
Proceed to the Lake Naivasha at the floors of the Great Rift Valley.
Arrive at the Lake Naivasha in time for lunch
Afternoon boat ride at the Lake Naivasha where you view exotic birdlife and hippos amid the serenity of this freshwater rift valley lake.
Later proceed for a guided walking safari at the Crescent Island.
Overnight at your Lake Naivasha safari lodge / tented camp.
Day 6:Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru: (80km:1.5 hrs)
(we may visit the Lake Bogoria instead if you are more keen on flamingo viewing)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
We shall hire bikes and cycle to the nearby Hells gate national park where you explore on foot this canyon as you spot small game.
Later a short 1 hour drive will take us to the Lake Nakuru national park.
Birdlife abounds with flamingoes seen in their thousands together with pelicans and other bird species.
Overnight at your lake Nakuru safari lodge / tented camp.
Day 7:Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara:(285 km: 5.5 hrs)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
An early bird and game viewing drive as you exit the lake Nakuru national park.
Proceed to the Masai mara game reserve.
Arrive Masai Mara and proceed for an afternoon game viewing drive.
Overnight at your Masai Mara safari lodge or tented camp.
Day 8:Full Day – Masai Mara
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Today shall be a game viewing extravaganza!
Masai Mara Game reserve remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the Natural world.
It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region.
The scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities.
We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game.
Picnic lunch shall be by the Mara river as we watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the great migration (July – October)
Overnight shall be at our Masai Mara safari lodge/ Tented camp
Day 9:Masai Mara – Nairobi: (265km: 5hrs)
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch.
Early pre-breakfast game viewing drive.
Depart Masai Mara with an exit game viewing drive.
Later depart for Nairobi to arrive approximately 4:30 pm.
Drop off at your Nairobi hotel if extending stay in Nairobi.
Drop off at Nairobi airport where you may extend your beach holiday at Mombasa -Kenya coast or Zanzibar.
