Kenya safari tour exploring wildlife, landscapes and cultural highlights in a 12 days tour package that includes private 4 x 4 jeep transport, unlimited game viewing drives, stops at attractions, park entrance fees and accommodation in a choice of economy, standard or luxury level safari lodges & tented camps.

The Kenya safari tour visits Samburu Game Reserve, Olpejeta game sanctuary, Aberdares National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Masai Mara Game Reserve, Lake Naivasha in the rift valley , Amboseli the Tsavo West National Parks.

Tour departs Nairobi and finishes at the Kenya coast beach resorts of Mombasa, Diani, Watamu or Malindi.

Tour is offered in a choice of economy, standard or luxury level safari lodges or tented camps depending on your safari style or budget.

Safari transport and game viewing drives are in private pop up top 4 x 4 Land Cruiser jeep and accompanied by a dedicated and experienced driver / guide.

• Tour is flexible and can be customized to your own specifications

• Sequence of visits / night stops can be adjusted to your preference

• You can suggest to omit some national parks and extend stays at others

• Safari is private per booking-no group tour

• Safari can be made in reverse or varied in sequence

• Driving times in Kenya are estimates and can vary due to road state and traffic

• Tour can be modified to include Lake Bogoria if you are keen on Flamingos

• You may request for local flights to cut on driving time (extra price)

• If you choose to stay at The Pelican Lodge, Sarova Woodlands or Sentrim Elementaita, note that there shall be no re-entry at Lake Nakuru National Park on the following day.

• For Kenya coast beach drop off, we shall use the standard gauge train option to Mombasa thus reducing on driving time, avoid the notorious traffic jam and for your better all round scenery and maybe wildlife views from elevated train.
  Pick up from Mombasa railway station and transfer to your Mombasa beach / hotel accommodation is included.

• You may also choose to use vehicle transfer for your Mombasa – beach drop off.

     12 Days Kenya Safari Tour

       Nairobi – Samburu Game reserve (320km – Approx. 6 hrs)

Day 1:-

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

0730hrs: Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Nairobi airport

Depart Nairobi and proceed to the Samburu game reserve.

The scenic drive is via the Kenya highlands with views of tea, coffee and subsistence farmlands.

You shall experience different climatic and vegetation zones on today’s drive including the highlands and semi arid desert conditions of northern Kenya.

Afternoon game viewing drive at Samburu.

Overnight at your Samburu safari lodge or tented camp

Day 2:-

     Samburu Game Reserve

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day shall be spent at the Samburu game reserve with game viewing drives.

Options of combining the Samburu, Buffalo springs and Shaba reserves on game viewing drives.

Game viewing concentrates along the Ewaso Nyiro River which is the lifeline of this semi desert environment.

Overnight at your Samburu lodge or tented camp.

Day 3:-

     Samburu Game Reserve – Ol Pejeta (180 km – Approx. 3 Hrs)

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Early game viewing drive at the Samburu game reserve.

Later depart for the cooler Mount Kenya and Laikipia region at the shadows of Olpejeta game sanctuary.

Afternoon game viewing drives including opportunities to see Rhino and Chimpanzee.

Overnight at your Olpejeta tented camp / lodge.

Elephants, Tree hyrax, white tailed mongoose, black fronted dicker, mole rat, bushbuck, water buck, Elands, rhino, chimpanzee.

Day 4:-

     Mount Kenya –Aberdare National park (80 km – Approx. 1 Hr)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Morning shall be spent with game viewing drives around the game sanctuary.

Later proceed to the Aberdares National park

Afternoon transfer to a tree hotel.

Overnight at your tree lodge with game viewing from the balconies of your cabin.

..bird watching, game viewing and photography.

NB: Only small overnight bags are allowed at the tree hotels.

Day 5:-

     Aberdare – Lake Nakuru National Park (190 km – Approx. 4 Hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Later proceed to the lake Nakuru national park.

There shall be a stop to view the scenic Thompson falls at Nyahururu.

The drive via farming country and homesteads via the Great Rift Valley escarpment edge is scenic.

Afternoon bird watching and game viewing drive.

The lake Nakuru national park is home to hundreds of bird species including a few flamingoes and other bird species.

The lake also hosts the black and white rhino population in its sanctuary

Overnight at your lake Nakuru lodge or tented camp.

Day 6:-

     Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara Game Reserve (290 km – Approx. 6 Hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Morning bird and game viewing drives

Proceed to the Masai Mara game reserves with stops at scenic points.

Afternoon game viewing drives.

Overnight at your Masai Mara safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 7:-

    Masai Mara Game Reserve

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today shall be a game viewing extravaganza!

Masai Mara Game reserve remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the Natural world.

It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region.

The scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities.

We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game.

Picnic lunch shall be by the Mara river as we watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the great migration (July – October)

Overnight shall be at our Masai Mara safari lodge/ Tented camp

Day 8:-

    Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha (240 km – Approx. 4.5 Hrs)

Meal plan: breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Game viewing drives at the Masai Mara.

Later depart Masai Mara for lake Naivasha.

Afternoon visit the Hell’s gate national park (Bicycle ride and hike)

Overnight at your Lake Naivasha lodge / tented camp

Day 9:-

      Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park (350 km – Approx. 6 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Morning boat ride to explore Lake Naivasha while you view hippos,exotic birds and small game.

We shall also enjoy a guided walking safari at the Crescent Island.

Later proceed to the Amboseli national park.

Afternoon game viewing drive at the Amboseli.

Overnight at your Amboseli lodge or tented camp.

Day 10:-

      At Amboseli National park)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day spent at the Amboseli national park with game viewing drives.

The national park is small and compact.

The mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day provides a dramatic background for wildlife photography.

Overnight at your Amboseli safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 11:-

      Amboseli – Tsavo west National Park (100 km – Approx. 2 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Short morning game viewing drive at the Amboseli – weather permitting there shall be awesome views of the mountain peaks

Weather permitting, there shall be awesome views of the Mount Kilimanjaro snow-capped peaks.

The exciting park is open and relatively small.

Mount Kilimanjaro offers an awesome background for wildlife photography.

Later proceed to the Tsavo West National Park.

The Tsavo west is hilly with scenic terrain and exciting game viewing backgrounds.

You shall visit the Mzima springs to view hippos,exotic fish and abundant birdlife

Overnight shall be at your Tsavo west safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 12:-

      Tsavo West – Mombasa & Kenya Coast

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch.

Game viewing drives at the Tsavo west.

Later proceed to Mtito Andei train station (Next to Tsavo West) where you shall board the standard gauge Nairobi-Mombasa Train (Madaraka Express).

Approximately 10:45am arrive at the train station.

11:24am: Depart for Mombasa on the Madaraka Express Train with elevated country views through Tsavo West & Tsavo East national parks.

14:18pm: Arrive Mombasa train station where you shall be met by your transfer vehicle and driver.

Transfer to your beach hotel in Mombasa, Diani, Watamu, Malindi.
